Using Data Source

If you want to insert an external image from the Data Source, select the Data Source tab on the Get External Picture dialog to display it on the screen. The application allows you to select a data source and item, which may contain an image.

To get an image from the data source:

1. Select the Data Source tab on the Get External Picture dialog. The items of the Data Source tab have the following meaning:

Select Data Source:

When clicked displays the Select Data Source dialog, which allows you to select the data source from available ones.

Prev:

When clicked displays the previous item of the data source in the image placeholder.

Next:

When clicked displays the next item of the data source in the image placeholder.

2. Click Select Data Source to define the data source you wish to work with. The Select Data Source dialog is displayed.

The items of the Select Data Source dialog have the following meaning:

Available Data Sources:

This combo box contains a set of existing data sources names.

List Manager:

When clicked launches the List Manager, which allows you to modify data sources. For further information refer to the section titled Managing Lists.

Field:

Contains the list of available items.

Type:

Contains the types of available items.

3. If you do not have any data source, click List Manager to define it. Otherwise choose a data source from the available ones, select the field you want to use and click OK.

4. When you will be satisfied with the image, click OK. The system inserts currently displayed image into the Work Area.
